Kenny and Teresa Phillips opened Scoops in February 2024 in historic downtown Americus. They discovered Scoops in Covington during COVID and loved the concept as well as the products. With a desire to invest and become an integral part of downtown Americus, the dream of opening a business quickly became a reality. As we began construction, the business was covered with prayer and our church family and friends gathered to write scriptures and prayers within the walls of the business.
Kenny and Teresa have worked diligently to build relationships and weave themselves into the fabric of Americus and Sumter County. Their goal is to provide a connection...a place that brings people together over a scoop!
Kenny and Teresa have been married for 7 years, have a blended family of three children, a growing number of grandchildren and a standard poodle, Dexter.
A business is only as strong as the community and the Phillips are extremely grateful for the wonderful support of Scoops Americus by the local and surrounding communities.
